The shoot setting

drop photography
I used two flashes, one with a white umbrella, the other without modifier (at a low power setting). Still I caught too much environment light. I don’t like the reflection of the umbrella in the water drops either. Maybe I’ll try without the umbrella next time.

In addition, the round glass bowl didn’t work. The edge creates an annoying reflection. A black plastic container might work better.

What did work, was the water bag fixed on a microphone stand. I could swing it to hang over the bucket when I was working on the lights.

The results

Lightroom is patient and full of wonderful possibilities. That leaves me with a couple of nice shots from the approx. 250 photo’s I’d taken during the shoot!
